Google Cloudprint for PDF
Printing a PDF from Magento will take quite a few steps before there is any result on your printer, with Google Cloudprint for Magento PDF documents you minimize this to just a simple click.
How does it work?
Google Cloudprint is a service where you can register your printer thru Chrome as a cloud connected printer. These printers are then available for every service that uses Google Cloudprint. This can be your Android phone or other applications like our Magento Extension. It brings your cloudprinters available in your Google account straight into Magento.
All data submitted to a Cloudprint printer will be processed and delivered thru Google Chrome, that needs to be running the PC where the printer is connected. It is also possible to use a network printer, network printer server that support Cloudprint or Google Cloudprint for Windows (paid software). The job will then be printed to the connected printer as if you where using the printer localy.
By default you can print:
- Order Invoice
Besides the default Magento documents, we offer a Google Cloudprint option for our extensions Addresslabel PDF and Packagelist PDF. For automatic document printing during order picking we also offer support for Google Cloudprint within Easy Order Pick&Pack, here you have the option to specify what document needs to be printed, to what printer and when it should be printed.
Every printer that is connected to a PC running Google Chrome and is connected to the Internet can be used for printing, there are also Google Cloudprint enabled printers that offer direct printing support.
