Genmato - Magento Extensions for Efficiency

Maximum Order Amount

Selling to B2B clients on account can cause a risk where your client orders more and more without paying the previous orders. In some cases you can insure these orders to a specified maximum. With the Maximum Order Amount extension you can enforce a limit (per customer or customer group) of the unpaid amount as well as a maximum amount ordered per period. This will disable the option to checkout for your client until he has paid the outstanding invoices and lowered his unpaid amount.

* Required Fields

In most B2B situations you want a maximum order amount for a customer if he orders with payment on invoice. This allows your customer to buy your products to a maximum order amount set at customer or customer group level, this can be required by your customer insurance/credit check or if you want to lower your own risk (this can depend on the type of products you sell and what payment options you offer to your customers).

How does it work

As soon as the set limit is reached a message is shown above the cart and the customer is unable to checkout. When an invoice is payed the customer can buy new products again. It is also possible to limit the amount bought per period, this could be helpful for transactions with companies that have a fixed monthly budget for new products.

What to limit

With this extension you can specify the maximum order amount for the current shopping cart, specify the maximum open/unpaid amount and/or the order amount in a specified period. The allowed periods are:

  • Last week
  • Last month
  • Last quarter
  • Last half year
  • Last year
  • Current week
  • Current month
  • Current quarter
  • Current half year
  • Current year

Full control over the amount your customers can have in unpaid invoices with the Maximum Order Amount extension.
